Entrepreneurship Summit

SVCT participated 2nd time in the internship summit organized at Delhi University. This year too summit was organized at Hansraj College on 2rd April 2014. A detail project studies were shown on PPT Gunj (NGO), Professional Workshop was also arranged by IBM. It was wonderful to see more than 50 applications for summer internship. It's really good to see that today's youth is moving forward towards the betterment of the society and they are joining hands with the SVCT NGO for the up liftment of society. We are thankful to the college authorities.

May 2014

Internship Program

SVCT organized a Five days workshop organised to help interns (students of Delhi University, ICFAI Dehradun (UK) & Bhartiya Vidhyapeeth (Pune), at its office, on 15, 16, 20, 23 & 24 May 2014. Representatives from different NGO's had participated in the workshop. Interns learnt a lot about the formation of a NGO, how it works, how to collects funds, and ways to smooth run the NGO. Interns also got to understand the difference between Societies & trust. Mr.Gurmeet Bhandari & Mr. S.S. Samuel speak about NGO functioning. Video films were also shown to all the participants, related to SVCT,how to organize health camps, cancer walk, etc.

Mr.Sunil Mahajan of Cenral Bank of India speak about the bank loan system available specially for students Education. Students should not suffer or discontinue their studies because of unavailability of money and funds. He also told the role of banks in education. This time all students belong to the law back ground ,doing their BBA/LLB degree, so some special classes organized on 20th May 2014, in which Mr. Jorawar Singh, welfare officer of prison's headquarter spoke about the system of Tihar Jail, how a prisoner comes in the jail and what are his duties & rights during imprisonment.

In this chain another Welfare Office Mr. Charan Singh who is looking after two jails, came on 23rd May 2014. He explained in detail how a prisoner comes to the jail custody, and what are precautions taken for first time offender. Every prisoner is counselled and given the guild lines of jail which prisoner has to follow. He also spoke that every prisoner is taken care of according to the jail manual. Separate motivational classes are also organised for the prisoners, so in future he will not do crime.

A special session are also arranged to know about Dental Cancer & care for all interns on 24th May 2014 at SVCT office. Dr. Shashank Arora a renowned Dental Surgeon explained in detail, how cancer is developed in Denture & how to care our Denture & what are the precautions to be taken care of in case of denture.

Personality Development Classes

SVCT organised Personality development programme classes, under our Each One Teach one programme, at Sai Enclave, Vikas Nagar, Uttam Nagar, New Delhi with the help of Backward Educational Association from 20 to 22 May 2014, In which all participant were taught the basics of English conversation so that they can prove themselves. How to face interviews and given tips to develop personality. All interns play useful role during the session. Some students were also given classes in higher mathematics. Students give special thanks to Mr. Jasmeet Singh Bindra, a student of B.Tech, Mechanical Engineering, Delhi Technological University for teaching Mathematics.

Computer Training Classes

SVCT organized a three (3) days workshop for students studying in different classes at Sai Enclave, Vikas Nagar, New Delhi, from 28th May to 30th May 2014 with the help of Backward Educational Association. This workshop was open to all; participants came from nearby area's basically students studying in 10th onwards. Basic knowledge was given, what is computer, how it works, function of MS office and Excel was also taught. All Interns took part in the workshop.

Interaction of Inmates Families

A fortnightly program was started from 27th May to 14 June 2014. All intern took part in the programme, they visited in small groups inmate's houses and try to find out the difficulties they are facing, and also helped in getting school uniforms, some interns also visited the Rohtak area's and find out the same. Most of things were new for the interns. They also helped in collecting & donating the cloths.

July 2014

A non former educational classes was organized by SVCT for street children's, in Indra Jhuggi complex, near Vikas puri with the help of Backward Patron Society, on 8th July 2014. In which all children who were present were given the example why education is most important part in our life, what is the role of education in our life. Some children's who are going to school occasionally, agreed to go to school regularly. Thanks to Ms Smriti Samuel for arranging all this.
