Unseen, Unheard - Innocent Prisoners of Conscience

There will be thematic Lectures by eminent representatives of NGOs working in related fields, spiritual leaders, representatives of Judiciary, Law enforcement agencies, and concerned citizens. A few international humanitarians will also take part in the deliberations.


  • Psychological condition of children of prisoners.
  • Socio economic conditions of children of prisoners
    • Social circumstances of children of prisoners and their families.
    • The economic conditions of children of prisoners and their families.
  • Situation of children in cases where one parent is in jail and the other is deceased.
  • What part does education play in the life of children of prisoners?
  • What steps can we take to support the children of prisoner's in these critical times?
  • Post release reintroduction of prisoner's into society (rehabilitation, integration and acceptance)
  • Is it not morally imperative for the private sector to come forward and provide employment opportunities to released prison inmates and for civil society to pave the way for their absorption in main stream society?

Direct interaction with Children of Prisoners and their families will be an excellent opportunity for people to understand the problem and empathize with the cause.

The seminar will also showcase case studies, testimonials, a sand art show, recital of poems and song written by Tihar jail inmates. Poster, painting and photo by students and inmates will be displayed to show their creative side.
